Andalucía Play Fest has been launched, a new initiative promoted by Málaga City Council through the National Digital Content Hub, which will bring together three major events in the city’s video game ecosystem under a single umbrella: the Iris Games Awards, Guadalindie and Retropixel.

The event will take place from 3 to 5 July 2026 at FYCMA (Málaga Trade Fair and Congress Centre). The aim is to strengthen Málaga’s national profile as a strategic video game hub, generate synergies between the industry and the community, and offer a comprehensive experience for both industry professionals and the general public.
