La Chochoctora

Henar Álvarez presents ‘La Chochoctora’, her first solo theatre show. The Madrid-based comedian, who currently has nearly a million followers on Instagram, has gone from strength to strength in recent years.
In a very short space of time, Henar has gone from writing scripts for others to hosting her own programme. Her naturalness, her outspoken tone, her commitment to feminism and her irreverent humour are some of the keys to her success and are undoubtedly also present in this theatre show.
‘La Chochoctora’ is much more than a stand-up show in which Henar Álvarez, as well as donning the white coat of La Chochoctora – her most iconic character – raises her critical voice against the system that oppresses women’s sexuality. It is a show brimming with humour, delivered through performance, her unique renditions of songs with original lyrics, and live audience participation.
