XIV INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS FOR THE STUDY OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

During these days, the scientific programme will be divided into papers and thematic round tables that will deal with aspects related to different thematic areas, which this year have as a common thread the slogan: “Gender Violence: a social problem in the 21st century”.

As in previous editions, the aim is to take a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to the concept of gender violence in its different manifestations and the different acts through which this violence is exercised. The main objective of this new edition is to address the concept of gender violence as a social problem, an extremely serious problem that affects society as a whole. On the other hand, it aims to advance in the awareness and involvement of men in its prevention and eradication. To this end, the new challenges for eradicating gender violence and the different dimensions of gender violence will be analysed, paying special attention to children and adolescents and people with disabilities. On the other hand, digital violence, gender violence in sport, social factors that influence gender violence and the evaluation of public policies on gender violence will be addressed.
