FYCMA announces new calls for startups within the framework of CM Málaga, Greencities and Simed
FYCMA (Trade Fair and Congress Center of Málaga), under Málaga City Council, has launched new calls aimed at startups as part of the upcoming editions of CM Málaga, Culture & Museums International Tech Forum; Greencities, Urban Intelligence & Smart Mobility; and Simed, Mediterranean Real Estate Exhibition. These professional forums, organised by the centre itself, share a common interest in giving visibility to disruptive entrepreneurial initiatives linked to innovation across their respective fields of activity
Málaga, 20-04-2026.- Startups and entrepreneurs have a new opportunity to connect with potential partners and investors at the upcoming professional forums organised by FYCMA in 2026, such as CM Málaga, Culture & Museums International Tech Forum; Greencities, Urban Intelligence & Smart Mobility; and Simed, Mediterranean Real Estate Exhibition. These events will once again feature specific calls for proposals aimed at giving visibility to innovative solutions within their respective sectors. These editions of their calls for startups are designed to facilitate the presentation and visibility of emerging initiatives to the professional, business and investment communities that converge at these events.
The first call, currently open for entries, is the IV CM Málaga Open Call for Startups, with the registration deadline set for th 8th of May 2026. The forum, to be held on June 22th – 23th , will recognise the best able project to promote the implementation of innovative technological solutions in the field of culture, contributing to a greater sustainability, accessibility and visibility for the sector as a driver of economic and social development.
Meanwhile, Greencities will open the application period for its V Open Call for Startups between the 22th of April and the 25th of June 2026. The initiative is directed towards companies with transformative proposals that offer real solutions to the needs of municipalities, regardless of their size and geographical location, in line with the challenges of the urban agenda. The event is taking place on the 15th – 16th of September and coincides in time and place with the VI Congress of the Spanish Network of Smart Cities (RECI).
Accordingly to Simed, its V Open Call for Startups will be available from the 5th of May to the 31st August 2026. National and international initiatives in the PropTech, ConTech and FinTech fields that put forward innovative proposals for the property and construction ecosystem may apply. The trade fair will take place from 12nd to 14th of November.
The winning proposals will receive a package of promotional actions, prominent exposure in the next edition of the corresponding event and cash prizes ranging from €500 to €2.000, as established in each call. In the last edition of CM Málaga, the winning startup was Artgonuts, recognised for an app that enables the exploration of cities and cultural heritage through artificial intelligence and augmented reality. At Greencities 2025, the awarded initiative was CoCircular, for its project to digitise circular waste management in businesses. Likewise, in the previous Simed call, ConBotics was recognised for its contribution to the development of solutions applied to the real state and construction sectors.
