Reactivation funds and latest research in health will be represent in the tenth edition of Transfiere 

The International Innovation Program of Transfiere, 10th European Meeting on Science, Technology and Innovation, will be aligned with the Spanish Strategy for Science, Technology and Innovation, and the National Plan for R&D&i through specialised thematic panels, presentations and practical workshops with more than 150 experts

The event will take place on April 14 and 15 at FYCMA (Trade Fairs and Congress Centre), which also act as executive manager of the forum. Transfiere is organised by the Malaga City Council, the Andalusian Knowledge Agency -under the Ministry of Economic Transformation, Industry, Knowledge and Universities of Junta de Andalucía- and the Ministry of Science and Innovation

Transfiere 2020

Transfiere, European Meeting on Science, Technology and Innovation, is designing the content program of its 10th edition focussed on topics linked to outstanding emerging issues that are already a trend in competitive environments. Thus, among the novelties this year, the forum will address advances in innovation and research in the health sector, with special attention to what has been learned in terms of transfer between science and business in the development of COVID-19. The Next Generation EU Recovery Fund will be another theme highlighted in the contents to show the opportunities linked to this program through presentations and training workshops. Transfiere will be the first face-to-face forum in 2021 at FYCMA (Trade Fairs and Congress Centre), in charge of its executive management, being organised by the Malaga City Council, the Andalusian Knowledge Agency – dependent on the Ministry of Economic Transformation, Industry, Knowledge and Universities of Junta de Andalucía- and the Ministry of Science and Innovation. It will take place on April 14 and 15 as a meeting point for the Spanish innovation ecosystem.

Also, the International Innovation Program adds, as thematic axes, the new calls for funding -Horizon Europe 2021-2027-, the opportunities for collaboration in the public purchase of innovation, the development of university policies and the role of the OTRIs, collaborative ecosystems as keys for the transfer of knowledge and the development and application of disruptive technologies for the economic and social reconstruction of the country. All of them will be cross-disciplinary topics of an extensive program that responds to the productive sectors’ progress, aligned with the Spanish Strategy for Science, Technology and Innovation, and the National Plan for R&D&i.

Among more than 150 experts taking part in this program, attendants will find the participation of director of the Carlos III Health Institute (ISCIII), Raquel Yotti; the international expert in innovation and disruptive technologies who was an ambassador in Spain for NASA-Singularity University, Juan Martínez-Barea; the Director of Transformation, Business and Companies of Telefónica Empresas, Agustín Cárdenas; the CEO of Mobile World Capital, Carlos Grau; Mercadona’s general director of Circular Economy, Margarita Muñoz; the general director of the CDTI, Javier Ponce, or the director of Business Development of System, Francisco Baeza. In addition, the forum will be attended by Pedro Duque, Minister of Science and Innovation; Rogelio Velasco, Councilor of Economic Transformation, Industry, Knowledge and Universities of the Junta de Andalucía; and Francisco de la Torre, Mayor of Malaga.

More than 20 prototypes

Transfiere will have once again the Demo Center-TRL7. In this area, professionals will have a preview through more than 20 prototypes of innovative proposals around sustainable transport, air quality analysis and urban agglomerations, or smart schools’ future. The Demo Center will also focus on searching for innovative solutions to technological challenges proposed by leading corporations and institutions and will strengthen the program for entrepreneurs, researchers and emerging companies, among other objectives. In addition, the generation of networking will continue to be one of its central axes through an improved tool with more outstanding capabilities.

FYCMA (Palace of Fairs and Congresses of Malaga) oversees the executive management of Transfiere. The forum is organised by the Malaga City Council, the Andalusian Knowledge Agency – dependent on the Ministry of Economic Transformation, Industry, Knowledge and Universities of Junta de Andalucía – and the Ministry of Science and Innovation. Telefónica acts as a Golden Partner and the University of Malaga (UMA) as a Silver Partner. FYCMA safe space

FYCMA has implemented a rigorous protocol so that organisers, exhibitors, suppliers, participants, and attendees can carry out their activity with the maximum-security guarantees during the face-to-face events held at the venue. Among the measures adopted, the adaptation of the spaces through delimitations and signalling to ensure an interpersonal distance, the establishment of entry and exit flows and itineraries for safe mobility through the building, limited capacity, differentiation between enabled and disabled seats and intensification of cleaning and disinfection through the permanent intervention of qualified personnel during the event. Also, it will be possible to find points of dispensing of disinfectant gel distributed in different areas, Priorising digitalisation to avoid elements of necessary manipulation and taking the temperature of those attending on their arrival at the venue.
