FYCMA collaborates with Hilo Doble, the solidarity initiative linked to the circular economy that provides second opportunities
FYCMA ( Trade Fairs and Congress Center of Malaga) continues to work on improving the environment in which it operates through collaboration with initiatives such as Hilo Doble, where social and environmental commitment is a priority. Thus, this business project, promoted by the Malaga organisations Arrabal-AID and ASIMAS, is responsible for reusing and making new products from PVC banners used at events and fairs held at the venue
Malaga, December 29th, 2022. – FYCMA (Trade Fairs and Congress Center of Malaga) and the Hilo Doble project have forged closer ties within the framework of a collaboration that is committed to sustainability and solidarity. Thus, since last February, this initiative promoted by the Malaga organisations Arrabal-AID and ASIMAS has given life to new products and materials from PVC banners used as supports for up to six events held at the venue, such as Foro Transfiere, Freakcon and Simed.
It is worth mentioning that Hilo Doble combines the experience of ASIMAS in clothing and the social and business integration of AIDEI to give shape to a solidarity project that favours the circular economy of the immediate environment, as well as promoting the inclusion in the labour market of groups in situations of greater vulnerability. In its clothing workshop, recycled advertising banners or bicycle inner tubes are converted into new raw materials at the end of their useful life by people who also find a second chance in the professional sphere. From here, new products, accessories, bags or backpacks are made as a result of a circular economy and social process.
Meanwhile, FYCMA works to improve the environment in which it operates and to leave a useful and positive mark on society, focusing its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) actions on these objectives. This translates into collaboration with initiatives of this type, among others, linked to the concept of circular economy, which seeks to extend the useful life of products through responsible waste management and reuse. As well as others that ensure equal opportunities, sustainable development and the fight against social injustice.
