A great year with an increase in international events held at FYCMA
From the technological field, such as DES-Digital Enterprise Show or J On The Beach; of industries, such as cruise lines with Seatrade Cruise Med, asphalt with RAR 2022 Málaga Conference, railways with Rail Live!, or tourist accommodation with Vitur Summit. In addition, from the scientific-medical branch with the European Congress of Internal Medicine (ECIM) or the 11th IPCRG World Conference, the business branch with Extenda Global or a very prominent event such as the High-Level International Conference on Human Rights, Civil Society and the Fight against UN Terrorism
On December 1st, FYCMA (Málaga Trade Fair and Congress Center) closed a season of significant international congresses with Rail Live!, one of the most outstanding events in the world on railway technology. The meeting has marked the ideal culmination of an essential year in which the Malaga venue has once again been chosen as the reference venue for congresses, conventions and conferences promoted by companies, corporations and international medical and scientific societies. As a common element, innovation and technological development have been the central axes of most of them.
Thus, FYCMA has hosted events from different sectors and fields, including technology, consolidating annual events in Malaga, such as the DES-Digital Enterprise Show, the largest European professional meeting on digital transformation business, which brought together more than 14,800 professional representatives last June. Previously, in April, J On The Beach, about Big Data, took place. Other industry events such as cruise lines or asphalt have been Seatrade Cruise Med -in September with the participation of more than 2,000 professionals- and RAR 2022 Málaga Conference in June.
Additionally, the scientific-medical branch, one of the most consolidated in the calendar of the Malaga venue, has had important appointments that have attracted delegates from various countries. This is the case of the European Congress of Internal Medicine (ECIM), which came to Malaga in June to facilitate the acquisition of knowledge on advances in clinical areas related to internal medicine. The 11th IPCRG World Conference in May and the 2nd Ibero-American Primary Care Respiratory Meeting, in November, had been other examples of conferences held in the venue.
Regarding business, the Vitur Summit positioned Malaga as the European capital of tourism during its celebration last October, housing a growing congress established in the center’s calendar since its first edition. Likewise, Extenda Global, the annual meeting of Andalusia’s foreign trade, attracted representatives of the 62 countries in which Extenda’s Foreign Network provides services to the venue in November.
Furthermore, FYCMA hosted the celebration of the High-Level International Conference on Human Rights, Civil Society and the Fight against Terrorism of the UN in May. The meeting was a large-scale event with maximum coordination between the venue and the organising institutions to bring together twenty ministers from different countries, as well as more than 430 delegates from member states, international organisations, civil society and entities linked to the United Nations.
These are some examples of conferences held at FYCMA, one of the Spanish centers with more international events included in its calendar.
