More professional and international activity, greater economic impact and the highest turnover figure so far: these are the main keys that summarise our 2023, an unforgettable year for FYCMA. Get to know the highlights of a historic year both in terms of results and the celebration of the twentieth anniversary, an important date that has allowed us to review the history of the Palace and reiterate its commitment to the development of Malaga in an international scenario determined by digitisation and connectivity, the value of innovation and the advance of technology.

The breakdown of the main data confirms the favourable evolution of the activity during 2023 according to the indicators established in the strategy set out in FYCMA’s Master Plan, which runs until 2024. This growth is reflected in quantitative terms, such as the 20 percent increase in the number of congresses and conventions, and the fact that the number of exhibitors at fairs and exhibitions now exceeds 2,400. And also in qualitative terms, confirming that 80 percent of the venue’s activity has been of a professional nature, that 20 percent of the events have been of an international nature, and that half of the meetings have been related to the promotion of innovation, science and technology.

With 156 events held, including fairs, exhibitions, congresses, conventions, conferences, concerts and other events, the Palace has generated an economic impact of more than 226 million euros, which has continued its upward trend in recent years. In addition, the 2023 turnover has been the highest so far and the increase in the average revenue per event, among other indicators.
